Biographical Sketch: Cynthia Hammond has been at the Department of Education for more than 20 years. In the past 6 years she has been working with Federal Student Aid’s Office of Policy Liaison and Implementation. The vast majority of her day, every day, is spent on implementation of the Gainful Employment regulations. As one of Jeff Baker’s senior staff, Cynthia interacts with all areas of Federal Student Aid including Program Compliance, NSLDS, and the GE Operations Team as well as all areas of the Department including the Office of Postsecondary Education, the Undersecretary’s office, and the General Counsel’s office.
