Biographical Sketch:
Sally M. Johnstone is the President of the National Center for Higher Education Management Systems (NCHEMS). She most recently served as a vice president at the Western Governors University that included working with colleges across the U.S. as they develop their own CBE programs. Prior to joining WGU, she was the provost at a comprehensive, public university and had served as the executive director of WCET at the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE). She serves on the U.S. National Commission of UNESCO, and the editorial boards for Change magazine and the Journal of Open Learning (UK). Her publications focus on issues of integrating information and communication technology into academics. Johnstone earned her Ph. D. in experimental psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
