An effective orientation is vitally important to ensure a successful transition occurs for new students. Understanding and experiencing the culture of the school, getting to know and meeting other students, and setting the stage for a proper beginning of the collegiate experience are all important factors that enable students to be successful. Where do financial literacy and financial aid fit into this experience? Hear and discuss the proper understanding of the information needed, of the support and resources available, and navigating the orientation experience—and how to complete it by incorporating financial aid information and financial literacy.
