A hot topic in reauthorization is loan limits. What do we do with them? Are they high enough? Are they too low? Should they vary? The impetus for change is the general sense that current limits do not allow undergraduate students without parental support to finance higher education without turning to more expensive alternatives. NASFAA’s Dynamic Loan Limits Working Group explored the idea of varying loan limits for different schools or students, based on established criteria, such as program of study or meeting certain thresholds. This session will explore the work of this group, leaving plenty of time for discussion.
