Biographical Sketch: Phil Schuman serves as Director of Financial Literacy at Indiana University, managing the implementation of a range of financial education programs across all IU campuses and is the founder of the award-winning IU MoneySmarts program. Phil is also a co-creator of MoneySmarts U, a financial education platform designed to help students from high school to recent graduates make informed financial decisions. Phil also serves as an adjunct faculty member at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis and teaches a personal finance First-Year Seminar to help low-income students learn how to manage their finances during and after college. He is the co-founder and co-chair of the Higher Education Financial Wellness Summit, a conference devoted to pushing forward the field of financial wellness in higher education. Phil has a Bachelors in psychology from DePauw University and an MBA from Indiana University.
