Biographical Sketch: Ellen Neel became the Director of Financial Aid at Glendale Community College (GCC) in Arizona in 1998 and has over 30 years of financial aid experience, 25 of those serving community college students in both Arizona and California. During her career she has been active in sector, state, regional, and national financial aid associations as session presenter, panelist, committee member, and committee chair. She is a former AASFAA President, served on the WASFAA Executive Board, and is ending her two year Rep At Large position on the NASFAA board. Ellen has been a member of various advisory groups, most recently as an inaugural member of the Federal Student Aid Information Center Arizona School Advisory Group. She recently transitioned to a new role at GCC becoming their Director of Federal Compliance.
