Biographical Sketch: Joan Zanders has served as Director of Financial Aid at 4-year private, 4-year public and 2-year public colleges over a period of 29 years and currently serves at Northern Virginia C C, a multi-campus school of about 76,000 outside Washington, D.C. She has been active in state, regional and national associations, serving as president of NEASFAA and RMASFAA and on the Board of NASFAA, serving on many different committees at all levels, and presenting at numerous conferences both within and outside financial aid.
