Biographical Sketch: Bill Cavin joined the State University of New York (SUNY) in 2013 as the SUNY Smart Track Program Coordinator, serving all 64 SUNY campuses and the SUNY System Administration.
Beginning in financial aid in 1984, Bill has honed his technical skills (Banner/SICAS applications) as the Financial Aid Solutions Specialist at the SICAS Center where he served as the lead for SICAS on the FADS submission for SIRIS and the SUNY Smart Track Award Letter. He is a federal and NYS financial aid policy expert and has worked for SUNY System in their NYC office, the US Dept. of Education, HESC, on campus at SUNY FIT; and for HSBC Bank. Bill is a well known trainer and speaker at state conferences and workshops.
Bill is a graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Albany and was proud to serve on multiple occasions as Co-Chair of NYSFAAA’s Government Relations Committee (federal and State).
