To what extent do financial aid compliance officers understand federal regulations and audits for public and private institutions? Higher education institutions that administer financial aid are faced with compliance obligations related to institutional and student eligibility requirements, direct lending requirements, veterans issues, and conflicts of interest. It’s important to provide helpful tools to prepare financial aid compliance officers to help with the day-to-day operations of their job. The purpose of this session is to discuss helpful tools that may be beneficial for new or seasoned financial aid compliance officers, and learn new ways to strategize system processes within the department.
