Assistant Director Processing and Employment Programs

Biographical Sketch: Josh Leonard works at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill overseeing the Student Employment and Processing units within the Office of Scholarships & Student Aid as well as providing technical/logistical support to the UNC’s Covenant program. Before he moved to North Carolina, Josh worked for Johns Hopkins, the University of Maryland-Baltimore, and Texas A&M University. The 2018-19 school year will mark his 14th as a higher education professional.
Josh holds three degrees from Texas A&M (including dual Masters degrees in Business and Management) and is currently pursuing a PhD in Higher Education Administration at NC State. In his spare time (i.e. the two weeks of winter break) he enjoys spending time with his wife & their three dogs, fixing those bland Blue Apron recipes, building cool/nerdy things at UNC’s BeAM maker space, and recharging his introvert batteries. If you’re looking for him outside of the conference presentation, he’ll be harnessing his native Texan instincts to hunt down the best tacos Austin has to offer and watch the Congress Avenue Bridge bats.
