Biographical Sketch: Joan Bailey is currently employed at the University of South Florida (USF) as the Associate Director of USF Health Financial Aid. As with many in the profession, her sojourn in the financial aid world began as a graduate assistant in the financial aid office at USF. Joan has served on her State Association (FASFAA) as the President, VP of Training. She has also served on her regional association (SASFAA) Board as the Global Issues Chair. Joan has also served as an Instructor at SASFAA New Aid Officer Summer Institute. She has also served on the NASFAA Training and Professional Development Committee and NASFAA Global Issues Task Force and in other volunteer roles with NASFAA. Joan has also served as a panelist on multiple occasions for NASFAA webinars; she is a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion as well as training and professional development.
