Biographical Sketch: Melissa Haberman is the Director of Financial Aid at the University of Wisconsin Extended Campus. UWEX does the administration of the UW System's Flexible Option programs. They are competency based, direct assessment, non-term, distance education programs. Melissa got her start as a work study student in the financial aid office at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee while earning a Bachelor of Arts in Film. She has been a financial aid professional for 14 years and earned her Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration in 2011 from University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. She was the president of the Wisconsin association in 2013-2014. She has six year-old twins, Oliver and Nora and lives with them and her husband in Sun Prairie, WI just outside of Madison.
