Biographical Sketch:
Joe Donlay is Interim Director of Financial Aid at Colorado State University and was the 2015-16 RMASFAA President. A Kansas native, Joe has previously served as Senior Associate Director at Colorado State University, Assistant Director at Wichita State University and began his career working as a Financial Aid Counselor for Southwestern College in Winfield, KS. Joe has enjoyed being very active within our professional associations, having served in numerous leadership capacities for CAFAA (Colorado), KASFAA (Kansas), and RMASFAA. Joe is a past regional delegate to the NASFAA Board of Directors, chaired the 2012 NASFAA Technology Initiatives Committee, chaired the 2017 NASFAA National Advocacy Task Force, and is a current member of the NASFAA Financial Affairs Committee. In 2009, Joe was honored with RMASFAA’s Oscar R. “Jack” Hendrix Award and received CAFAA’s Postsecondary Professional of the Year Award in 2014. He has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing degree from Fort Hays State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Southwestern College. On the rare occasion that he gets free time, Joe enjoys traveling to visit friends and family and loves trying new Colorado craft beer!
