Biographical Sketch: Director of Financial Aid at Newman University 2016 and current RMASFAA President.
She has 25 years of experience working in financial aid and the higher education arena. Myra been Director of Financial Aid at two different 4-year private nonprofit schools, and she has a passion for teaching, mentoring, and financial education. She has been involved with professional associations at the state, regional and national levels. Myra has received the following honors for her professional work: 2017 KASFAA Deborah Byers Outstanding Service Award, 2017 RMASFAA Ron Smout Award for Teaching and Mentoring, 2014 KASFAA Hall of Fame Award, and the 2015 RMASFAA Hall of Fame Award. Myra has earned all 17 NASFAA credentials and is always willing to share her knowledge with others. When not working she enjoys spending time with family and friends (especially her grandbabies).
