Biographical Sketch: Melissa Hayne Loretto began working for the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT), a university dedicated to STEM disciplines, in 2013. At IIT Melissa works as the Sr. Associate Director of University Financial Aid. She is currently responsible for reconciling all federal and state aid, serving as the office's technical liaison, and supervising three members of the office's counseling team.
Melissa is lives just outside Chicago in Oak Park, Illinois and is a lifelong Illinoisan having graduated with her B.A. in History from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and her M.S. in Higher Education Policy and Administration from Northwestern University. In her spare time she enjoys a good yoga/spin class, reading, and spending time with her toddler, husband, and their two husky mixes.
