Biographical Sketch: Mario Villa is the Director of Student Recruitment and Financial Aid at The University of Texas School of Law since 2013 where he manages all student financial processes for law students. Currently, he is completing his dissertation in Higher Education Leadership within the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy at UT-Austin. His dissertation research looks to explore the relationship between creditworthiness, financial aid decisions, and financial stress in law students. His aspiration is to be a scholar-practitioner where he hopes his future work informs policymakers to allocate funding to further financial wellness and financial planning for graduate and professional students.
