Biographical Sketch: Amy Geist serves as the director of strategic initiatives for NASPA - Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education. Amy's work has focused on managing grants that support the work of student success initiatives at the collegiate level as well as on colleges' use
of emergency aid programs to address student needs. Prior to joining NASPA, she spent two years as an associate in the rotation program at the
University of Notre Dame after serving for twelve years in the Division of Student Affairs there, supporting such areas as student development,
student government, event planning, student activity fee allocation, and leading the hiring process for many departments in Student Affairs. Amy
holds a master's degree in student affairs administration in higher education from Ball State University and a bachelor's degree in Sociology from
Jacksonville University.
