Biographical Sketch: Dr. James Blackburn has 23 years of experience in Student Financial Services. His focus on student success and retention has led to innovative grant programs that resulted in remarkable improvements in graduation rates. He has also created effective student programs to increase financial literacy. His focus has been on improving the financial awareness for the same students that tend to be under-served in the banking industry. James has transformed many organizations with an increased focus on the student, operational excellence, technology enablement, and data analytics. James has an Ed.D from the University of North Georgia, an MBA from Auburn University, and an MA from California State University Dominguez Hills. He is a Certified Six Sigma Blackbelt, Certified Software Engineer, and a Certified Management Accountant. James has taught courses on lean six sigma, process improvement, and service innovation.
