Biographical Sketch: Lori Aiken is a 20+ year Talent Management and Organizational Development professional, with a specialization in the integration of Diversity and Inclusion strategies throughout the HR lifecycle.
Before joining Sallie Mae as their Chief Diversity Officer, Lori embarked upon her professional career at AT&T/Lucent Technologies, where she served in several divisions as one of the primary architects of their succession planning, leadership, organizational development and performance management infrastructure.
As the global head of Learning and Talent Management at both BOC, Inc and Merrill Lynch’s Global Private Client Group, Lori was heavily invested in building & deploying global performance/talent management and OD strategies & solutions in the North American, EMEA, Asia Pacific and Latin American regions, with a spotlight on the translation of solutions to the cultural nuances around the world.
In the Media & Entertainment industry, Lori served as the Global Head of Talent for both Viacom & Sony Pictures Entertainment. There, she was responsible for the integration & execution of the Talent Acquisition, Talent Planning, Learning & OD, and Executive Development strategies, with a focus on the onboarding & retention of diverse talent in some of the industry’s most underrepresented sectors.
Most recently, Lori lead the Human Capital effort for JPMorgan Chase’s Market Expansion effort, where she was accountable for creating innovative sourcing, onboarding & development solutions as a means to increase the overall representation & retention of diverse talent at all levels throughout the organization.
Lori earned a dual BS degree in Management/Marketing, and a MS in Adult Education/Counseling Psychology - both from Rutgers University.
Lori is the proud mother of 1 son, Aaron, She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, & spends much of her free time serving her community on a local & national level supporting various community service initiatives.
