Biography: Valerie Miller is the Director of Student Financial Aid and Scholarship at Ohio University where she has worked for the past 19 years. Before that, she worked in School/Lender relations in the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Educations guaranteed student loan program. Her career in financial aid originally began as a student employee and then Financial Aid Counselor at Pittsburg State University in Kansas, where she also earned a bachelors degree in Finance and an MBA.
At Ohio University in Athens, Ms. Miller directs an office that awards and disburses over $400 million in federal, state and institutional funding for a University that serves over 38,000 students through a large residential campus as well as five regional campuses and a robust eCampus.
