Biography: Julie Wickstrom is the Director of Boston University Financial Assistance. Julie's role as director is to manage an office of 30 to carry out the enrollment and retention strategies of the University by providing effective service to students and parents. Julie is responsible for ensuring that the office is in compliance with federal and state regulations, reporting requirements and ensuring proper fiduciary responsibility of funds from federal, state, institutional, and private sources. She received her B.A.in Sociology at Clark University and has a Masters Degree in Urban Affairs from Boston University. Julie has been in the financial assistance profession for close to twenty years serving in a variety of positions at Boston University and Emmanuel College. She actually got her start as a work study student in Clark University's Office of Financial Assistance.
