Many schools struggle with how to determine whether a student is a veteran for financial aid purposes. In addition, many schools have hired third party servicers to process verification and C flags, and your servicer may or may not know how to process these correctly either. And lastly, many states have exemptions for veteran students, but eligibility must be determined by reading the Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty form (DD214) appropriately. During this session, you will learn how to read the DD214 for all of these purposes.
