Navigating the myriad data sharing rules can be daunting for need-based scholarship recipients, particularly when navigating compliance, the rights and needs of the student, the goals of the scholarship program, needed referrals to academic support for students at risk, and future and potential donors wishing to support need-based programs. This session will review one university’s collaborative approach to need-based scholarship administration that balances these factors in support of persistence and completion, including shared memorandum of understanding, student consent process, and ways renewal eligibility reviews were restructured to bolster equity, consistency, and holistic student success.
