After a more than two-year pause in repayment and loan servicing activity, the Department of Education and loan servicers will face enormous challenges in onboarding tens of millions of borrowers back into repayment. Through generous funding from Arnold Ventures, NASFAA convened and consulted stakeholders from across the student lending and servicing spectrum to examine what is and isn’t working in student loan servicing, and how loan servicing should be re-imagined moving forward to better support borrowers. This session will review the findings and recommendations from NASFAA’s report on improving and supporting federal student loan servicing.
