The Federal Perkins Loan Extension Act of 2015 extended the Perkins Loan Program through September 30, 2017. Graduate students are ineligible beyond the 2016-17 award year, while undergraduate students may continue to receive loan disbursements for the remainder of the 2017-18 award year as long as the first disbursement is made prior to October 1, 2017. During this session, a panel will discuss the challenges of administering this program during this transition period, and the solutions they identified to create the best possible outcomes for their students.
