Greater attention to student loan indebtedness has brought additional attention to student loan counseling. Earlier this year, NASFAA convened a task force of financial aid administrators to consider the content, consistency, and timing of counseling and the prospects of annual loan counseling. As lawmakers consider the role of loan counseling as part of Higher Education Act (HEA) reauthorization, hear from the task force about their work and their recommendations for the future of loan counseling. In addition, hear from an institution currently participating in the Department of Education's annual loan counseling experiment.
