In this session, we will examine the interplay of academic culture and requirements with federal financial aid rules and regulations. We will look at several issues, including the contradictory oversight of state and federal rules, the impact of faculty and institutional culture on policy decisions, and the ways financial aid and registrar offices can work cooperatively to impact student retention. We will be led by a former registrar (who is now a financial aid administrator) and a current assistant vice president of financial aid.
