In a panel-type discussion, this task force will share research surrounding some of the major federal, regional, state, and even local programs in place or being currently considered for implementation. The task force examined and will share details of proposals, merits and potential drawbacks of each plan, and discuss the potential impacts to student indebtedness. This session will review implications and tradeoffs involved; the role of Federal Student Aid, state and local government, and even private enterprises within each scenario; and consideration for potential scaling of such a program nationally. Time will be reserved for audience interaction.
