The Department of Education released new federal regulations in December 2016, tying federal financial aid eligibility to institutions being approved to offer instruction or conduct other activities in other states. Are you aware of the status of these federal regulations? Whether it is for distance education or face-to-face instruction in other states, is your institution in compliance in the states where you conduct those activities? This session will provide an overview of state authorization and the requirements and consequences of the new federal regulations for state authorization, and other current federal regulations that are tied to federal financial aid eligibility.
Speakers:
Cheryl Dowd (WICHE Cooperative for Educational Technologies (WCET))
Shari Miller (Northern Arizona University)
