This session will focus on graduate and professional students, and how to use DataLab to answer questions related to important research topics. The National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) is responsible for collecting and disseminating nationally representative education data. DataLab is the mechanism with which NCES disseminates data to the public. Three online data analysis tools comprise DataLab, they are QuickStats, PowerStats and TrendStats. The three tools share an intuitive drag-and-drop workspace, where users interact with survey data through a graphic interface, and are able to quickly produce complex data tables and regressions.
