Education innovations often do not fit nicely into the traditional academic calendar or existing financial aid rules. Western Governors University was hit with a recommendation from the Office of Inspector General that their courses were correspondence study, and thus ineligible for aid. We will talk about financial aid hurdles for innovations and seek input from the audience about how they have addressed compliance requirements.
