The Modernizing Title IV Aid to Encourage and Accommodate Innovation in Higher Education task force examined innovative postsecondary learning models and the ways the laws and regulations governing Title IV aid administration pose potential barriers to innovation. Building off the work of NASFAA’s Innovative Learning Models task force in 2015, this group worked to both refine existing recommendations and develop new recommendations for the Higher Education Act (HEA) reauthorization to allow for greater flexibility for innovation in higher education. Recommendations focus on practical solutions to ease administrative burden while maintaining an adequate framework for accountability.
