This session will focus on the realities of student debt, and strategies for mitigating the difficulties borrowing creates for students. Sandy Baum will discuss the evidence and arguments contained in her new book, Student Debt: Rhetoric and Realities of Higher Education Financing. Campus financial aid administrators will focus on student perceptions of debt and strategies to improve their understanding of the pros and cons of borrowing and the associated responsibilities.
