According to Stephen Covey, author of the best-selling book "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People," we can be efficient with things and effective with people. Serving people is a large part of our job. There are also processes that make sure financial aid files get from the FAFSA to disbursement. Are they as efficient? This presentation will provide an introduction to LEAN methodology — a way to identify and reduce wasteful processes or procedures in order to improve productivity — and will provide examples of how LEAN thinking can be used to drive continuous improvement in the FA office.
